Dealing with Darkness

Darkness doesn’t exist. It’s nothing. But light is everything. Bring in the light—darkness will be gone.
Sep 13, 2017
Prem’s four international birthday celebrations for the year was kicked off in September at Ivory’s Rock Conference Center near Brisbane, Australia (Amaroo). Over 4000 guests from all over the world attended this 5-day convention. Here’s Prem’s 2nd address on Day 3.

One of the analogies I have been giving is, imagine if there was a big huge hall, right? Huge! And in the midst of this hall, by turning off all the lights we’re making the hall perfectly dark, perfectly dark, zero light—if we built a room, and it was totally black, totally—no windows, no light can leak in; no light can leak out—we built this room. What would be in that room? Light or darkness? It’d be dark, right? No light!

Now, in the same room, without going…still maintaining exactly the same parameters, we managed to light a candle. What would be in that room? Well, what…what happened to the darkness? How did it escape?

My question to you is, “How did the darkness escape, when it was not allowing the light to come in the first place?” So, light could not have come in—and through the same hole, the darkness escaped! Where did the darkness go!?

Nowhere. Because it never was. It’s nothing. And that’s why the candle was able to be lit, and there was light! You see? Darkness doesn’t exist. It’s nothing. But light is. And bring in the light—darkness will be gone.

That’s the power; that’s the possibility in your life that you have. This is what you can do. This is what you can do. A.... All you need to do is remember this. That’s all. It doesn’t change anything. Samosas are not going to taste any different.
