All of the great teachers from around the world have taught that peace lies within. One such extraordinary teacher was the father of Prem Rawat, Hans Rām Singh Rawat. Hans began his mission to spread the knowledge of inner peace throughout India at twelve years old. His greatest teachings were that all religions spring from one source, peace is indivisible, and every person has the potential for finding peace.

We celebrate Han’s 119th birthday with Prem and renew our emphasis on knowledge lovingly handed down from father to son. Given the time in which he lived, Hans was visionary. He was an egalitarian, a reformist, and wholeheartedly believed all could come and follow the truth regardless of caste, which was a revolutionary stance at the time. As energy is never created nor destroyed, Hans’ powerful message and his peaceful mastery are still present with us in Prem each time he takes the stage.

When Hans passed away, the young Prem was chosen by his family to step into the father’s footsteps to fill the need for his message to be heard around the world, adding his own unique style and flair. Prem continues to passionately share the message of peace around the world. Unflinchingly, he animates his commitment to self-knowledge in a modern way that can enhance the everyday lives of his listeners.
