Without any fancy “this or that, or that,” what is obvious? Well, what is obvious is one day I was born. And since that day, more and more and more, I became aware of what is around me.
I became aware of the good; I became aware of the bad. At some point in my life, I started to also make decisions about what I considered was good, and what I considered was bad.
And sometimes, what I thought was bad, not everybody agreed with me. And sometimes, what I thought was good, not everybody agreed with me either! But I’m not just talking about my little story.
This is the story of everyone. And against those odds, knowing that one day we have to go, there is a thirst; there is a desire in every single human being to be a little bit better. Before we go talking about peace, you must understand – not as an audience sitting in this hall, not as a British subject, or French, or German, or whoever you may be, sitting here. But as a human being, an individual human being, regardless of the set of beliefs you carry with you, do you have a desire to be a better person, or not?
Now, even though I asked you that question, I want you to ask yourself that question. And if your answer is “yes,” let’s talk about peace. Let’s talk about joy. Let’s talk about clarity; let’s talk about understanding. And if the answer is no? Let’s talk about what’s going on here.
What is going on? The world is destroying itself because they have no understanding of what peace is. Everybody is happy in their little rabbit hole, of what their definition of peace is. And good God, everybody is right! According to them. chasing this and chasing that. And I suggest you chase your heart. Because that is the most easiest way to becoming a better person. Not by fulfilling everybody’s wishes, that is not the way to become a better person. But it is to fulfill the wish of your heart that you become a better person.
Did you know that peace is looking for you? Did you know that? Peace wants to sit on the throne of your heart. It was made for that. Enlightenment wants to rule the domain of your heart, by sitting on the throne of your heart. Joy is looking for you, for your heart, because it wants to sit on the throne of your heart and rule its domain with dignity.
This, my friends, let it happen.
