What makes you happy? Is it something you do that makes you happy? Is it a sequence of circumstances that makes you happy?
Because we know the word "happiness," but we haven’t truly felt what happiness really is. We know the word “freedom,” but we do not know how to be free. We know the word "kindness," but we don’t know how to be kind.
Happiness is a state of contentment.
When you are content, not here, but here, in the domain of the heart—in the domain of the heart, when you are content, when this heart is content....
Let me tell you something. When you satisfy this, this gives you a gift. When you satisfy this, this gives you a gift—a very different kind of gift. The gift this gives you is, "More. More." And when you satisfy this, this gives you a gift, too.
When you satisfy this.... You go shopping; you see a suit; you see a dress? This goes, "Buy it. Buy it. Buy it; it's nice! You will—you will look so good in it. Buy it." So you buy it. After you buy it, it gives you a gift. You know what the gift is? "hmmm.... It’s not as nice as his suit."
You buy a new car; you are very happy; you’ve got a brand new car, "So nice," and you’re sitting in your car. And then all of a sudden, a better car comes up, and this gives you a gift: "Should have bought that." It’s called "the gift—the gift of dissatisfaction." This is the gift this gives you.
When you satisfy this, this also gives you a gift. When you satisfy this, this immediately gives you the gift of peace. "Here, peace!" When you satisfy this, this gives you a gift of, "Here. Enjoy this, a little happiness."
The day—the day you can smile and not know why you are smiling, that is the truest smile. The day you can laugh and not know why you are laughing, that is the truest laugh. And the day you can be happy and not know why you are happy, that is the day of, "Ah," the gratitude, "Thank you!"
That is the day you become really thankful because you don’t know what you did to deserve this, but you feel it, and you go, "Thank you! Thank you for being alive." That is the way to live.
Is there any question for what you’re made for?
In this body, in this shell—which, by the way, is made out of dirt—inside of it resides the infinite. What is infinite? Suffice to say, “That which was, is, and will be,” it’s is a pretty good definition. Suffice to say that it has the capability—something in you has the capability of making this dirt dance, talk, walk, and most importantly, want.
Want. This is the most unique combination. And when this process is taking place, it is called “life.” And so far this union is intact, you are alive. And so far you are alive, you can feel. What would you like to feel? Somebody said “bliss”; somebody said “love.”
You know, you can feel both—and much more than that. Not only feel bliss, but feel contentment! Not only feel contentment, but feel joy! Not only feel joy, feel happiness! And many, many more like that, if you could only feel that infinite inside of you.
You and every person on the face of this earth already knows that when you are fulfilled, it is the best feeling! Don’t need to be a rocket scientist to know that when I am fulfilled, it feels the best. This is when I am the happiest.
The issue isn’t fulfillment. Issue is, “How do you get it?” And this is where speculation starts to come in. Nobody can tell you, “You are now fulfilled.”
So, people try to figure out, “How can I be fulfilled?” People say, “Read this book and you will be fulfilled. Follow this path and you will be fulfilled. Go to this holy place and you will be fulfilled. Go to the Himalayas and you will be fulfilled. Renounce everything; you will be fulfilled.”
That’s one part. The other one is, “More money you have, the more fulfilled you will be. If you have a good job, then more fulfilled you will be.” The trouble is, those two camps, trains of thought, neither has been able to actually prove their point.
But what about you? The good news is that, “Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes, this is not speculation! This is possible. It is very, very, very, very, very, very possible.”
My objective is to be in peace, and I love when I can bring others to that peace as well. I know where the water is, and I bring the thirsty to the water.
Let me once again put you in touch with the vision of life. You had this vision, each one of you. You understood what simplicity was, each one of you. And today, once again, be in touch with that simplicity.
That is the most incredible fulfillment that there is.

What is the real attraction in your life? What are you attracted to?
We, in our lives, need equilibrium—a “feeling good.” Good, feeling good! There are certain things, for you, that work—and certain things that don’t work. Feeling good works. Feeling bad doesn’t work.
Feeling good could happen infinitely, and you will be fine; you will not be bored with it. Feeling bad, on the other hand, you want to get out of that situation. This is your nature. Do you concur with your nature?
When the heart is filled with gratitude, this is pleasant. When the priority of this life is understood and acknowledged, this is very pleasant. When I don’t bank and bet on yesterday, nor tomorrow, but I bank and bet on this moment called now—when I have understood the infinite that resides within me, then this is very, very pleasant.
When I live, not on those tracks that are formed by belief, but when I live on the foundation of knowing, (not suppositions and formulas and ideas and theories), but knowing, then this is very, very pleasant.
When I know, (not believe, not think, not wish), but when I know the friend within, then this is very, very pleasant. And this is what Knowledge is all about. This is what life is all about, filling your life with the pleasant.
Think of life like this—it is your opportunity to spend time with the best friend you ever had, to be with the ultimate clarity in this whole universe. It is your chance to spend time with the ultimate kindness. It is your chance to spend time with the infinite. It is your chance to spend some time with the ultimate joy.
Get to know! Get to understand something. Get to feel! Get to be in gratitude. Get to rejoice. When those things happen, you feel alive. That’s when you begin to live. And this is your time, your opportunity, your chance to spend some time with the one inside. How beautiful, how simple is that?
